Evening Prayer to Lay Down My Burdens

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Matthew 11:28 (NKJV)

Lord Jesus, You invited everyone who is weary and heavy laden to come to You, so I come tonight. I bring You the weight I have carried today: the concerns about tomorrow, the conversations that hurt, the needs that are still unmet.

I cannot carry them through the night, so I place them in Your hands. Give me the rest that only You can give. Where there is disappointment, bring comfort. Where there is fear, bring peace.

Let me sleep knowing that You neither slumber nor sleep, and that You are working even while I rest. I trust You with everything I have released tonight.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.
